TikTok is Here To Stay
Let’s start with a trend that we assume by now everyone is on board with.
TikTok is the app we can’t close at night before we go to bed. Our “for you” pages are filled with adorable animals, trending dances, and conspiracy theories… well, at least mine is.
No matter what’s on your “for you” page, we guarantee that one: you can’t stop scrolling, two: you don’t want to stop, and three: that you are addicted to every minute of it. We have to admit, we can’t get enough of it ourselves.
Influencer Marketing
B2C businesses are increasing their efforts to connect with their consumer audiences and reach new ones.
To attempt a more personal approach, they have turned to real people giving honest reviews of their products or services.
Diving into the world of influencer marketing has done wonders for businesses in 2022, and who doesn’t love honest reviews?
These types of reviews reassure consumers of the brand they are interested in and the products/services they’re selling. We have a feeling we’re going to be seeing a lot more influencers marketing to us in 2023.
In-App Shopping
Instagram has made it easy and convenient for consumers to shop for their favourite brands in the app.
Users simply tap on the image, and a tag appears with the product name. Then they’re redirected to the brand’s store showing the product name and price, and a link directing them to the website to add to their cart.
And just when you thought shopping couldn’t get easier? Many brands have their own Insta shop, and we are excited to see how this develops in the new year.
Video Format On Socials
Short-form videos and Reels were being created and posted increasingly more than carousels and static posts.
Videos and Reels can grab the attention of the viewers faster and give them a direct message in a more entertaining way.
With TikTok and Instagram Reels taking over the social space, there is no doubt that both businesses and creators will be utilizing this format the most in 2023.
Direct Messaging for Social Marketing
Sliding into a brand’s DM’s is becoming the fastest way to reach your favourite brand and ask them questions about their product or service.
The ability for consumers to easily reach out to brands is also the perfect opportunity for businesses to increase their customer service skills and profit from them.
As a consumer myself, why would I wait for hours on hold when I could take a minute to send a DM and get help right away?
